Homegrown Space

You know, there’s been sort of  small standup comedy scene here in KL. Not too many places though for budding comedians to perform. We at the Homegrown Space want to give you comedians, another platform, though a bit smaller, for you to show people what you’ve got. Take the Homegrown Space as a kind of a testing ground so to say. But hey, if you’re good, and with our promotions, you could be the next best thing! Check out this next clip which was recorded at the launch of the space. This is Andrew Netto and he’s on his way to becoming one of Malaysia’s best!

Another interesting development in KL is the Spoken Word scene. I’ve been in the local entertainment business for some time now, and i’ve never seen this many acts! This is awesome! And this Sunday, 24 of May, we’re having Illya Shahira, Afi Momo, Negarakus, Rahmat Haron and get this, A. Samad Said! It’s amazing that he’s agreed to this at the space!
