Sweet, mellow and pleasant were Halfway Kings, the acoustic duo who played at Homegrown Space last Friday night. Made up of Adeline (vocals) and Joachim (guitar) this heartwarming pair entertained their fans in an intimate session that was certainly memorable.
Songs played were Square is the Shape, Down and Over, Maybe Please, and their brand new single Tongue to the Board. Other songs played were covers to The Verve’s Bittersweet Symphony,as well as a medley mashup of Lykke Li’s I’m good, I’m gone, Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit, and Blur’s Song 2.
It was a short showcase but sweet nevertheless, and we certainly look forward to seeing more of the Halfway Kings in the future, here at Homegrown Space.
