AZUREFORJANNE, formed in mid 2007 with no rooms for heartbreaks, this five-piece band of close friends gives shelter away like from strewn ammo’s across a warfare, in a form of inquisitive vocals backed with soaring guitar riffs, further revealed more with headstrong bass lines and drums.
The band had a few hiccups and line-up changes along the way but that didn’t stop them from doing what they love apart from everything else, create music. Recently, Chris, the previous bassist for AZUREFORJANNE migrated to Virginia, USA, for good as a US citizen. His spot was filled in by Tomas (The Metaphor, Silent Scenery) in January 2010, as the new bassist for AZUREFORJANNE.

Musical direction for AZUREFORJANNE leans towards Post-Hardcore, Screamo and Experimental with a little pinch of Post-Rock. Each individual in the band has their own disticnt sound and interest which they want to play and hear, thus making AZUREFORJANNE’s sound a very unique yet melodious one and it doesn’t stop there.

The band might still be like a freshman in a new school, but they’ve bodysurfed their way through the hallway, and to class.

Stillness might occur to some, but to others, its a journey to be taken for oneself as it goes and as for so, they’re not here to steal the limelight, but to shine it towards everyone.

AZUREFORJANNE just recorded their first 5 track EP, titled A Common State Of Liberty, guided and produced by 2 of the most respected musicians in the Malaysian local scene, Sim Keng Lee from Seven Collar T-Shirt & Jeffrey Kumar from Army Of Three. The EP is currently in the midst of finalising on the mix at the moment and due to be released sometime around May 2010.

This is not, your average-everyday poster band. This is AZUREFORJANNE.
