Writing songs at 14, and singing since 15 this 19 year old has a growing collection of her own material. Inspired by her dreams and fantasies, she chooses to perform songs that inspire or make a mark on her listener’s life aimed at the upcoming generation.

Without professional vocal training this songbird feels that singing is in her blood. This is her field of dreams and she plans to take her talents to the next level. This charitable singer aims to make an album putting aside the majority of the proceeds of sales for mission work to help those less fortunate.

Although still new to this field, she admits she is still learning and growing in this industry and plans to see where this will take her.

This is her first showcase!

Come support new talent.

Ask Me Again consist of Vocalist - Hameer Zawawi, Lead Guitarist - Shiresh Anthony, 2nd Guitarist - Michael Soyza, Bassist - Calvino, and Drummer - Shanjeev Reddy. Drawing countless amounts of comparisons to bands like System of a Down and Muse, Ask Me Again was actually formed on the basis that everyone’s individual influences be put into the song-writing process, and that, today, is the sound we intend on projecting to our listeners. Our biggest achievements to date have been reaching as high as number 5 on Fly.Fm’s Campur Charts with “Videogame”, playing as a Guest Bands for the Justea, Mister Potato and Touch n’ Go Battle of the Bands, and other high profile shows like Bazooka Series at Laundry Bar, Campur Charts Goes Live and Monash Music Festival. We also provided the backing music for the Mitsubishi Lancer 2007 advertisement, and got airplay on Hot.fm and XFresh.fm for the song “Ayamas”. We were also invited to play at the launch of Burberry’s “The Beat” perfume release competition in which we managed to bag 2nd place out of 10 bands. This was later followed by a performance for the Johor Bharu Arts Festival in July 2009. In December 2009 we were called to play Malaysia’s biggest and oldest rock festival, “Rock the World 9” for the first time.

We have just released our debut mini-album entitled “A Step Back Forward” and it’s up for sale for RM20 a copy. It includes the much anticipated lead single, “Ayamas” and 2nd single entitled “Harapan”.

Ask Me Again are a Malaysian rock band that more often than not, sing in English. All songs in Malay were written to cater to the Malaysian market.

Witherspoon was officially formed in April 2006. The band consists of Zachreen Zakariah (Songwriter / guitarist / lead vocalist); Azim Hulaimi (Synthesizer / Piano); Aizat Zawawi (Bass) & Zahiri Zulkifly (Drums) but these best friends from high school have actually been playing music & performing since 1997.

Their first release “Scapes & Sounds”, from their 7 song EP was produced by Bakry (Meet Uncle Hussain, ROB, Koffin Kanser). With Zachreen’s eccentric vision along with the band’s distinctive musical direction, Scapes & Sounds received reviews with flying colours from the likes of magazines such as Junk and ROTTW. ROTTW named them as to be the next big thing due to their distinct quality of their sound, songwriting skills and musical direction which sets Witherspoon apart from any other Malaysian act.

Their first single, “Tingles & Everything” quickly gained attention from labels and listeners overseas including Quince Records (one of Japan’s respected Indie labels). In the Asian Shoegaze Compilation, Witherspoon became the only band from Malaysia to be included in the compilation appearing alongside a host of other bands from Indonesia, Japan, Korea and other Asian countries to name a few. “Tingles & Everything has also been offered airplay over Manchester’s Bing Satellites radio based in Manchester, UK.

Witherspoon is best known for leaving a mind-blowing impression on listeners coupled with their combination of dream pop, post rock, 90’s alternative sound to killer harmonies. On stage, Zachreen’s angelic voice dazzles people who crave something different from today’s bands.

The band is currently in the studio recording their 2nd release and just signed under First Stance Records. This release should be in stores sometime in April 2010.
