Alright, as we all know it is already hard enough to be an artist in Malaysia and what more make a career out of it.But hey, we all should pursue our dreams regardless of the outcome.
So in this case, for musicians specifically, money is often the biggest issue when you are a new, budding artist or band.First you have your musical instruments to think of, then you have to worry bout your jamming costs and then after all that you have your recording to do.If not how else your music is going to get out there?Correct?
To get a decent recording you need to pay something in the range of RM500 to RM 1000 per song. Now if you are recording a full ep of 5 songs that can accumulate to quite a bit.Ultimately in the long run if you were to invest that money properly you save tonnes of money by doing your own recording.
No I’m not saying you should open a studio right away but whats wrong with a bit of knowledge on how to slowly start one. That is why you have to be at the Homegrown Space this Saturday, 1st August 2009!
We have a professional from The Midi Specialist in Low Yat, http://www.midispecialist.com/ coming over to show you what are the equipments you can or should get to start your very own home recording setup as well as some pointers on doing your own recordings.
So all of you musicians,dj’s, and producer wannabes make sure you make your way to the space this weekend. You wont be disappointed.
